Marketing Specialist

The new position will work directly with the CEO to launch new print and on line marketing tools to extend the company’s branding. The marketing specialist must be able to understand and use marketing research to create plans, timelines and budgets for the company’s product lines and oversee the development and integration of branded marketing collateral, including Powerpoint sales presentations, marketing brochures, marketing flyers, direct mail, video, technical manuals, webinars, and news letters. The marketing specialist may work with outside consultants to develop these materials, as well as coordinate public relations and community outreach. Finally, the marketing specialist will work with the CEO to create an annual marketing plan for each product line including identifying customer target accounts, pricing strategies, product development needs, sales growth initiatives, and establishing and tracking measurements of success. The candidate must have good presentation and writing skills. The candidate must be familiar with marketing concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to brand development. A wide degree of creativity and latitude and a need for sound judgment is expected to perform this job successfully. Self-discipline and personal integrity are important qualities for the successful candidate. Compensation based on experience and skills.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and 3-5 years of marketing experience required. Master’s in Business Administration a plus
  • Ability to effectively prepare and present information to senior management, product managers, public groups, clients, customers and vendors
  • Ability to work in a non-structured environment while maintaining personal accountability for achieving defined objectives
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills. Ability to oversee and/or produce a wide variety of materials from technical manuals to creative marketing pieces. Ability to write reports, develop business correspondence
  • The ability to understand, gather and use appropriate resources to respond to sensitive or complex inquiries
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems and to deal effectively with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
  • Computer skills a must (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, etc)
  • Some travel may be required
