Problem vs solution:

  • A new barrier created a high tensile demand on the top side face of a bridge in California.
  • The client needed tensile strength added adjacent to the new concrete barrier.
  • Ground Penetrating Radar was used to mark the saw-cuts so they don’t interfere with the existing rebar.
  • The area was cleaned of all moisture and the epoxy and CarbonSeal™ carbon fiber laminate strips were installed.
