On Sunday, April 6, HJ3 employees, friends, family members, and even some of our four-legged friends came together for the annual Great Strides walk. This event aims to support cystic fibrosis research, a condition that impacts more than 30,000 children and adults in the United States, causing the lungs to become clogged with thick, sticky mucus. While significant progress has been made in cystic fibrosis research, a definitive cure remains elusive.
Even our canine companions joined in on the fun!
The day's activities featured a 5k walk, along with various children's events and festivities designed to both educate and entertain the participants. We're proud to announce that the event raised over $122,000, and HJ3 was pleased to have the largest group of walkers, with more than 35 participants. At HJ3, we are dedicated to participating in events that support the cystic fibrosis cause, collaborating with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in our shared mission to find a cure.
When we needed a break, we took a breather!
Check out our fantastic team in action!
Our participation in the walk was a tribute to one of our team members' grandsons, Walker, a 6-year-old born with cystic fibrosis. Walker, like thousands of others worldwide, lives with this challenging condition, and the prospect of a cure is on the horizon. Since 1955, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been at the forefront of the quest for a cure. Each Great Strides walk brings us a step closer to this vital goal.
